GRAYBAR FEATURES IN OUTDOOR CHANNELS RENOVATION HUNTERS : WILLIAM'S FAMILY GET AWAY
Season 4’s third and final project of the season took Renovation Hunters to Williston, South Carolina because of the Patrick Williams family. This place was as unique as they come and presented lots of twists and turns. This project was two old general stores from the late 1800s that needed some love. They sat on 2000 acres of beautiful land and overlooked a breathtaking lake.
Renovation for the next generations
We let the Wildlife farming crew start early on the habitat work since there was more than ever before. The crew showed up with brushmonsters, PH no till drills, limb sharks and much more. We cleaned the main bank up on the lake and planted lots of food plots, we even fixed a couple old blinds along with setting them up with a brand new RSI outdoors blind for generations to come.
At the two old general stores we replaced all the siding with wood that had been repurposed from the pallets they used in WW2 to carry bombs. The crew also put a new kitchen in, beautiful custom marble countertops and new cabinets. With it being in low country South Carolina we had to help out with a new mini split and a main AC unit for the living courters. This project was so big we can not begin to cover everything our amazing crew did. This was by far the most work we have ever done in eight days.
The finished product left tears flowing from the family as they could not believe what had been done. As a token of thank you we got some good southern hospitality and cooking from the family on the new back deck. All the hard work was worth it as we got to see three and soon to be four generations enjoying it.
