172-Year-Old Cabin Gets an Upgrade
Selecting the location for the second-ever Renovation Hunters project involved careful consideration. Host Hal Shaffer and general contractor Kevin Tarkovich collaborated to identify the ideal property. Hal sought a compelling narrative, while Kevin assessed the site’s construction potential. Their unanimous decision? Critz.
The Critz Cabin, a 172-year-old heritage, had been passed down through multiple generations. While it sufficed for hosting hunters, it lacked the amenities for a family retreat.
In contrast to previous Renovation Hunters endeavors, this project extended beyond the main structure to encompass the entire property. Exterior enhancements included the addition of an outdoor shower, shooting lanes, and even a hunting shed.
