For the first project of Season 2, Renovation Hunters transformed Blue Spring Farm in Hiwassee, Virginia. The property is owned by Casey Reynolds and Kristin Harris, with a deep connection to nature, situated along the river and near the Blue Spring. The century-old cabin on the property offered a unique challenge, blending the charm of its history with the need for modern updates.
A Retreat for Healing and Reconnection
Blue Spring Farm became more than just a retreat for its owners—it transformed into a sanctuary for cancer patients. Kristin, a cancer survivor, envisioned creating a peaceful place where individuals could heal after their treatments. Renovation Hunters enhanced the property by clearing overgrown bushes, creating hunting spots, and upgrading the cabin with modern comforts. The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were completely renovated, preserving the rustic feel while ensuring a serene environment for its new purpose.
