GRAYBAR FEATURES IN OUTDOOR CHANNELS RENOVATION HUNTERS : BENTON'S FAMILY FISHING CAMP
Season 4’s first project took Renovation Hunters to the Benton family fishing camp on Toledo Bend in Many, Louisiana. The family owned a lake front house that had created issues to maintain it. Carter being a disabled vet and his kids being in school has made it hard to keep up with the aging house and vast landscape.
Giving back to a Vet and his family
Renovation Hunters transformed the Benton’s home by updating the kitchen with new appliances, custom marble counter tops, new cabinets and a coffee nook. The team busted out a couple walls and changed some windows to open up the living room along with fresh paint and floors throughout the house.
As we talked to Carter and the family we quickly learned how much the ladies loved their rose bushes along with the She Shed. So we went to work creating the ultimate she shed, screened in, fresh paint, new open window walls and some fresh furniture. Along with the she shed we tackled the landscaping with the help of our friends at Wildlife Farming by chopping trees limbs to open up the view of the house and lake. We also spent days cleaning up mulch beds and burning off years of old leaves creating a beautiful new look curb appeal.
These upgrades will give a new and improved get away for the family and their friends for years to come. Giving back to a vet is always high on our list and this will let him and his family enjoy their home for years to come.
