GRAYBAR FEATURES IN OUTDOOR CHANNELS RENOVATION HUNTERS : ROSCOE RINGNECKS HUNTING GET AWAY
Season 4’s second project took Renovation Hunters to the hunting camp of the Roscoe Ringnecks in Roscoe, South Dakota. The group owned a house in town and had a piece of property right outside town. The group of guys use this getaway to hunt pheasants and whitetail deer with each other and their sons.
Renovating in a small town for a big group of friends
Renovation Hunters took on some new projects that had never been done before on this build. We started on the outside of the house with new siding and windows. As we finished that project we worked into the house and that meant new floors, new kitchen everything (appliances, cabinets, custom marble counter tops and a new table to eat at). This project flowed into every square inch of this camp meaning new bathrooms, new bed rooms and a new AC unit which was something they never had in the camp.
After learning the story of this camp we started to understand what made them love this place so much, which was watching their bird dogs work and the comrotary with their friends. That meant there were two major priorities, a new dog room and a back yard make over. We built custom dog kennels and put up some really cool Wall Control for all the dogs accessories in the front of the house.
After we took care of the dogs we made sure the Roscoe Ring necks had the best get away right out of their back door. That was everything from a brand new sauna to finishing the garage and giving them the best garage bar possible. We can’t forget the new grilling area and deck out back either.
This was a project that hit home for use because we know what it means to go to camp with your friends and enjoy yourself. This was a place where generations will come to learn how to hunt and spend time with family which is why we do this because it is all about the next generation.
